Welcome to Metrogamez video game store, where we buy, sell trade and repair video games and video game consoles . We are a retail business located in Eastpointe, MI just north of Detroit. We are licensed, insured & Certified. MetroGamez was started as a depot repair service in 2009, providing video game console repair for other retailers. Since opening, we have grew considerably and now, we are one of the fastest growing video game services in the Midwest. At our lab, we repair hundreds of consoles every week. We have some of the highest success rates in the industry when it comes to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii and PSP / DS repairs. We have a secured and 24/7 monitored, 2000 sqft facility dedicated to repairs, as well as a storefront for retail video game and refurbished console sales.



We specialize in motherboard re-flows for all consoles as well as all other console repairs. We stock most of the parts, reducing the service time to 7 Days or Less! Don't fall for the dirt cheap craigslist scammers or flea market companies who are here today, and gone tomorrow - They offer duct tape and heat gun fixes to your video game equipment. Those fixes will fail within weeks.  Why? See for yourself - non OEM modifications to this xbox may have brought it back to life for a day or two. However, the pressure from removing the x-clamps and installing bolts (x-clamp mod) has warped and ruined the system board. Unfortunately, we see far too many of these. Please, do not attempt any Internet tricks or mods, as it may make the proper repair impossible!

We are one of the very few companies in the area that own the proper equipment (similar type that Microsoft (tm) and Sony (tm) uses to refurbish failed Xbox and Playstation consoles). Proper repair involves using real industrial BGA rework / reflow station as well as reflow ovens that secure all the failed chips on the motherboard back to factory specifications using proper temperature profiles and  closely monitored xbox playstation and wii computer controlled reflow process.
We warranty and take pride in all of our work! Please note. We can not offer warranties on previously repaired equipment, as we simply can not guarantee the quality of previous workmanship.

In addition, we do not "reball" the chips. Using led based solder, as well as the time involved in hand stencil reball, is against the EPA regulations and not economically viable.
